How do you reboot the TNG service?
I ran geocoding process that sent the server into a spin with a 504 gateway timeout error. That was hours ago but it's still unresponsive The NAS itself is under no stress (6% CPU, 6% RAM). How do I stop and start the service? Does TNG have a parameter like WordPress does to set a RAM allocation? If...

Error 403 when accessing TNG Admin Set Up screens
Having successfully installed TNG standalone on a DS 1821+ I have now move on to complete another, separate install of TNG integrated with WordPress using the Kloosterman method. Mostly it's working, except that whenever I try to access the TNG Admin > Setup options for general settings, templates e...

Re: Install TNG on a Synology NAS
Hi Steve,
I'm about to do an install of TNG on a DS1821+ to two Seagate Ironwolf 1TB SSDs in SHR
Haven't done this in a while. I shall be following your guide
PHP 7.4/MariaDB 10
What's your advice re Apache 2.4 versus NGINX as the back end, please?
Paul

Re: Problem with installation on DS916+ 8GB
I'm using WordPress.org.
Just for a stopgap, I tried installing the Syno package and discovered to my horror that although it installs WP 5.2, it STILL does it on php5.6!!!!
I'll try those tips.
Thanks

Problem with installation on DS916+ 8GB
It's been a while since I did a WordPress installation on my Synology.
In the meantime, php7.2 for Syno has been released and installed.
I have followed the instructions but when I run the 5 min install I can't get a connection to the database.
Has anything changed?

Re: Install a free SSL certificate
Thanks Steve. I tried adding my subdomains as SANs on a Let's Encrypt certificate, and it was having none of it. As soon as I removed the SANs the request was granted. Go figure. It won't accept a separate request for a certificate for a subdomain. Ah well. The subdomains are not that important.
